Whose desk it lands on
The contact center leader. Is our voice AI assistant actually solving the customer's problem, or just sounding polite?
Our view
The CX Brief's interpretation, not a claim made by the source.
A polite voice doesn't mean the customer was understood: AI-delivered service scores 4.41 on friendliness but only 4.08 on understanding. According to CMSWire, voice assistants also get timing wrong (missing pauses and mid-sentence corrections) more often than they mishear words. A satisfaction measure that looks at the assistant's tone may not show whether the job actually got done.
