The AI Era in Sports Technology: A Next-Generation Fan Experience From MLB and Adobe
As of March 2026, MLB has expanded its partnership with Adobe and is redefining the digital fan experience with generative AI tools. So when will Türkiye's biggest clubs get their turn?

With each passing day, we see more strategic partnerships being forged with the world’s corporate giants, focused on the spectator and fan experience in sports. In our recent article “This Time, AI Is Carrying the Olympic Torch,” we also touched on how the integration of sports technology and AI is transforming the industry.
Today’s focus is the major partnership that Major League Baseball (MLB), one of North America’s most storied organizations, and tech giant Adobe have taken to a whole new level.
Baseball: A Sport Far From Türkiye, an Experience Close to Home
For us Turks, baseball usually seems a world away. But on a personal note: in my first year in Canada, I followed the Toronto Blue Jays through a thrilling final series as they fell just short of the MLB title, and discovered firsthand that baseball is a far more entertaining game than I had thought.
It isn’t just the competition on the field: the flawless in-stadium fan experience, which keeps spectators engaged in the game at every moment, also lifts the sport to another level entirely. Indeed, Game 7 of last season’s MLB World Series drew a combined 51 million viewers in the US, Canada and Japan, making it the most-watched game in 34 years. The record proved that this interest is no accident and showed how the right customer experience strategy brings audiences together. (And of course, maybe it was just my bad luck, but we lost in an incredibly dramatic finish. If you’re curious, you can watch the story here and share in our tears.)

The MLB and Adobe Partnership: Digital Transformation in Sports Accelerates
Seeking to deliver a flawless experience to this massive audience, MLB announced in an official press release that it was taking its partnership with Adobe a step further, expanding it as of March 2026. Under the new agreement, Adobe is not only the main sponsor of MLB Opening Day in 2026, 2027 and 2028; it is also redefining digital fan engagement with generative AI tools.
In recent years, this technology infrastructure has directed fans to the quickest stadium entrances, guided them to VIP parking and offered location-based discounts; now it is evolving into an end-to-end, fully personalized AI ecosystem.
How Is AI-Powered Customer Experience Taking Shape?
Here are the revolutionary steps that stand out in the new setup:
-
Content Creation With Generative AI: With tools such as Adobe GenStudio and Firefly AI, MLB will deliver real-time, on-brand digital campaigns tailored to the interests of its millions of fans.
-
Sparking Fan Creativity: Fans will no longer be mere consumers; with official MLB designs and AI features offered through Adobe Express, they will become “creators” who turn their passion for their teams into their own social media content.
-
Optimizing for AI Search Engines: Adobe LLM Optimizer technology will make the brand far more visible in AI-driven search engines, reshaping search trends and rewriting the rules of digital visibility in MLB’s favor.
When Will Türkiye’s Giants Get Their Turn?
In short, in the world of sports marketing strategies, the vision is no longer just about selling game tickets or jerseys; it is now about building a direct, digital bond with fans at every moment, on every platform.
As sports organizations on the other side of the world join forces with tech giants to deliver such an innovative end-to-end experience, one pressing question comes to mind: When will Türkiye’s major clubs, such as Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, take a visionary step like this, uniting the stadium and digital platforms for their tens of millions of fans?
