Netflix House: A Giant Leap from the Digital Screen to the Physical World

Until now, Netflix has always been a guest in our homes. With Netflix House, Netflix’s new experience center, that relationship takes on a new dimension.

As the entertainment industry is rocked by rumors of a strategic merger involving Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix, Netflix keeps expanding its territory with radical moves and writing new stories. What we see now is no longer just a streaming platform but an “experience giant” that brings its digital intellectual property into the physical world. Netflix House is a modern challenge to traditional theme park giants such as Disney World and Universal Studios. The venture marks the platform’s transformation from a media company that merely serves up content into an omnichannel lifestyle brand that puts viewers at the center of the story.

Netflix House in Philadelphia opened only a short while ago (November 12, 2025) and, arriving right in the middle of the Stranger Things craze, made an even bigger splash.

Cutaway bird’s-eye illustration of Netflix House Dallas: a giant Squid Game doll, the Netflix Bites restaurant, a giant hamburger, colorful play areas and the red envelope at the entrance; a “Dallas” road sign in the corner.

And on December 11, Netflix House Dallas opened its doors too. Among the countless impressive experiences at this 100,000-square-foot (about 9,300-square-meter) venue is the giant red envelope at the entrance! It brings to mind once again Peter Drucker’s wise saying, “culture eats strategy for breakfast,” and we, too, tip our hats to Netflix’s roots, back when it rented out DVDs in red envelopes.

Greg Lombardo, Netflix’s vice president of experiences, makes the same point: “For more than twenty years, fans have welcomed Netflix into their homes; now it’s time to invite them into ours.”

The next Netflix House will open in Las Vegas in 2027. I think a trip south and an adventure-filled day in Hawkins at Netflix House are in order for us at Nord CX, too.
